Stay in an authentic, old-fashioned Karoo country homestead. The house has high ceilings, wooden floors and beautiful original fixtures and fittings. There is an old-fashioned kitchen and a lounge dining room as well as stoeps on three sides of the house and off the outside rooms. The magnificent old tree just outside the kitchen functions as an extra room and people gravitate to the serenity of this space.

The Guest House has 5 bedrooms. Each room is just a little different from the others. All the rooms have their own en-suite bathrooms with a shower, basin and toilet. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house and two are in the “Waenhuis” extension which is just off the back stoep of the main house. These two outside rooms can be enjoyed as a family suite.

There is a drought-friendly garden that has magnificent mountain views and a swimming pool with the best view in the Karoo.

Our little family lives in the cottage across the road from the Guest House. This means that it is possible for guests to book out the whole house for special celebrations, workshops, special interest events, get-togethers or just for a more exclusive breakaway. These stays can be self-catering, semi-catered or fully catered, whatever best suits your needs. It is a joy to us to see groups make the place their own when they are here.

The Guest House has a relaxed atmosphere and Jeremy always says, “We are a house that takes guests, not a guest house.”
